Is the web 2.0 bubble going to burst just like Web 1.0 did in 1999? Will companies like Digg, Facebook and Myspace collapse like many web companies did in the dot bomb? If so then many people will be out of jobs and all the money they dumped into their million dollar web apps. The good news is that this bubble is different because of the fact that back in 1996 no one had business plans, they would make a site and file for an IPO and then go under. This time private venture capitalists are investing and private investors as apposed to the public web 1.o companies. I believe that Web 2.0 is here to stay especially new media companies like Revison3, W3life, and others because the internet on demand, where ever you want market is becoming what the people want. Tech journalist John C. Dvorak is a strong believer in the bubble bursting because he say everything is the same as web 1.0 which is false! This song by the Ricter Scales is called “Here Comes another bubble” to the tune of we didn’t start the fire and is both humorous and catchy.
