Hi Mike -- nice work. I like the way you used one ethical system and analyzed the situation in depth. You might have taken the argument a little bit far...some of this feels like a bit of hyperbole...but that is, in a sense, what Kant asks us to do. Well done.

Michael -- all good observations. What do you think is the impact on society for us to be so surrounded? How well targeted are you as a heavy internet user?

Mike -- well done. Just a couple nit picky things. Our president spells his name with only one "r." Also, get used to consistenly referring to corporations as "it" (no matter what Mitt Romney says about corporations being people. :-) -- i.e. Al Jazeera and "their" audience. Finally -- great essay, on target, details, support...in the end, though, it needs a summarizing conclusion.

If you don't want to spend $5 dollars on Good Reader, you can view pdf's through the Apple's iBooks App. I don't think that syncs anywhere though. Also, I tried some e-books this year. I tried through my university, and it was a terrible experience. They messed up, and the software never worked. I had to view it all online. It was UDTeBook.com so I'd stay away from them. Also, I bought one and rented one. The one I rented, I was allowed to print all of the pages, and save to PDF, and then use them on my iPad. However, the e-textbook I fully purchased only let's you print 300 pages of the text book. I did not make sense, that I could print all of the rented book's pages, but not the one that I bought. This next semester, I will get my e-textbooks from somewhere else.

The whole thing of going paperless is a great idea, and I'm trying it again next semester.

I think apple will keep the classic for awhile yet. It's not hurting them at all and it is great for large libraries. I know people who MC events sometimes use a special mixer board with an iPod mount right there. It's good for on the go events, and if you're just MCing (not DJing), why bring an expensive laptop to some kid's birthday party ya know?

I was thinking about getting this for college and installing win7. I decided it was a better value to get the Dell 11z (sprint version) with an Intel i3 because it kills this and any atom in performance for same power consumption.

I think chrome os will have huge possibility if they reduce the cost of the hardware through economics of scale and huge volume for lower ATC.

I can't believe mac doesn't have this. I guess it does if you count putting it to sleep then requiring a password at wakeup.

If your rendering a video that's gonna take 1/2 hour and you wish to walk away from your desk and KEEP the video rendering you can't on stock os x.

I agree my sister wanted a 17" laptop, which might have worked because she only moves it about once a week. I showed how her heavy it was and that you cant't really use them on your lap and she got a 15 which she loves. Keep up the good work!
