Snow Leopard, Making Mac OSX Even Better

Today, I received my upgrade disk for the new version of Mac OS X, Snow Leopard! I had heard from testers and from Apple press announcements that it is much faster than Leopard and frees up hard drive space but, it greatly exceeded my expectations! First off, the upgrade process is extremly easy, you just insert the disk in the computer and run it, no manual reboot or booting from disk! The process was completed in about 30 minutes and the improvements are apparent from first login. The operating system is much faster and snappier although OSX was never very slow. When I opened finder for the first time I found out I had cleared out 20 GB and have a lot more space available on my hard drive!

Although the speed and extra hard drive space are the main reasons I bought Snow Leopard, it does have a few new features. My favorite new feature is the new and improved Expose which makes navigating through windows much easier. Also on the Zen front is Dock expose which allows you to click and hold on an Application and lets you see all the windows of that program that are open and navigate through them.  There is also a much need refresh of Quicktime making it much better, Echnage support has been added to mail, and other improvements have been made!

To all Leopard users pay the $30 and get the upgrade the speed and the extra space are worth it, plus all the extra features make it totally worth the small price! I promise you will love it as much as I have because it is amazing and has once again one-upped Windows and released it 2 months (almost exactly) before Windows 7!
