Which Mac to Buy?

So you made the decision to make the big jump to a Mac but now which Mac do you need for your purposes. There are several models of Macs and it could be tough to decide which one is the right one for you.
Desktops:
Mac Mini:
The Mac mini is a small machine that is great for general computer use and for a media center to play movies and other media in you home theater. The Mac Mini doesn’t come with a keyboard, mouse or monitor but, if you have extras laying around then you are set! You can also use it as a server which is nice because it is very small and doesn’t require as much power as other servers.
iMac:
For the vast majority of desktop users the iMac will serve you very well! It is great for web browsing, photos, entertainment, everything most people use the computers for. It is not like a normal desktop computer that has a tower and monitor instead, it is all in one well designed machine that is basically the size of a LCD Monitor. It is also powerful enough to do lighter video editing and other more robust applications. The iMac is a very flexible machine and if you don’t mind giving up  portability, the iMac will be able to do almost anything you throw at it.
Mac Pro:
The Mac Pro is more of a typical desktop computer with a separate tower. Although these machines are very powerful, they are extremely expensive and should only be considered if you need things that can’t be done on a iMac. For example, the iMac can’t be upgraded much, while the Mac Pro can easily be opened and upgraded.
Laptops:
MacBook:
The MacBook is like the iMac of the laptops most users would be fine with the MacBook. However if you want a laptop that does more robust tasks like video editing then you are better off with a MacBook Pro.
MacBook Air:
The MacBook Air is in my opinion the least useful Apple laptop to buy. It is an extremely light computer but, it doesn’t have a lot of power so it might not be powerful enough to what you need to get done. If you don’t mind paying a lot, and you travel a lot. Then maybe consider the MacBook air but, I think you are better off with either a MacBook or MacBook Pro.
MacBook Pro:
The  MacBook pro is great for people who need more power than the MacBook or if you want a 15 or 17 inch screen. This machine is great for creative professionals on the go and just for more power on the move.
